  2. Ceiling height: The height of your ceiling will also impact the number of downlights you need. If you have high ceilings, you may need more downlights to provide even illumination throughout the space.

  3. Desired level of illumination: The amount of light you want in a room will also determine how many downlights you need. For example, if you prefer a brighter room, you may need more downlights to achieve the desired level of illumination.

  4. As a rough guide, you could consider using the following formulas to estimate the number of downlights you need:

How are downlights installed ?

  6. Attach the mounting bracket: Attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling joists. This will provide support for the downlight.
